The Meaning of the "Knight of Swords" Tarot Card
(Applies to the upright position)
The Symbolism of the Tarot Card:

The Knight is galvanized into action, and charges forward on his white horse to either save a maiden or mete out justice. Whatever it is, he is brandishing a sword like he means business with it, not just as a symbol of his office. As with the other sword court cards, air symbolism figures prominently throughout the card with jagged clouds, butterflies, birds, and the hint of a hilltop. The horse looks like he is being pushed a bit too hard and needs a rest, but that is not about to happen.

The Meaning of the Tarot Card:

The Knight of Swords may represent an on-the-ground law enforcement official, or any servant of the law and/or government. This person is charged with the power of justice to mete out punishment and reward good works - although the theme of this card veers towards the punishment side. The figure in this card is bold in their pursuit of whatever they are after. If the individual has done something wrong, this card suggests the need to make amends quickly. It seems necessary to take the right course of action soon, if not immediately.
