The Meaning of the "Six of Cups" Tarot Card
(Applies to the upright position)
The Symbolism of the Tarot Card:

A very innocent picture of a small boy in a jester's costume giving a young noble girl a gift of a flowering cup. Five other flowering cups adorn the card unobtrusively. The boy is kissing the flower before giving the cup to the girl. Guards are on duty at the manor house behind them. A family coat of arms adorns the wall behind them.

The Meaning of the Tarot Card:

The picture of innocence. Pure courtly love as opposed to sexual or romantic love. Fealty. An excellent friendship. Your friends and family around you are willing to share their abundance. Compassion and generosity. Happiness, enjoyment, a solid foundation in the past. Love for your fellow man and woman. Also a card of memories - items that have been in a person's life but have vanished. Look to the elements in childhood to solve problems in later life situations. Perhaps a return to innocence is called for in the individual's life.
