"A Dragon Appears in the Field" - Greatness and prominence are different things. One can be great long before one achieves success. A seriousness and intensity of purpose mark one destined for great things. True greatness is shown by example.

"Vigilance all Day, Apprehension by Night" - A constant defence of ones principles is needed. Creation requires constant effort and a wellspring of energy. Be cautious of forces that would lead astray or take advantage of a lapse in focus.

"The Dragon Flies through the Skies" - Destiny is a powerful force. All things are drawn to what is within their true nature. Each thing follows its own kind. Some things are just meant to be, others are not. The great dragon has achieved its rightful place.

"Great Boundaries are Broken" - In this line we see the great dragon (a powerful and epic force for energy and creation) going too far. There is a difference between what can be achieved and what should be achieved. Excesses are referenced here. Some lines should not be crossed.

This hexagram with only one solid line indicates approval and enthusiastic support for actions and decisions. One strong line exists among many weaker supporting lines. Unity is referenced here. Many act as one, because the one acts with confidence and clear leadership.
