Water Water
Water Wind

The initial hexagram #29 is built from the upper trigram of Water on top of an identical lower trigram of Water.

The successive completed hexagram, #48, deconstructs into an untransformed upper trigram of Water on top of a transitioned lower trigram of Wind.

The starting hexagram #29:
"Pitfalls"

The meaning of hexagram #29

Dangers and challenges are indicated in this unwelcome hexagram. Faith and connection to others are your lifelines during this doubly dangerous time. Confront all dangers headfirst. Summon your strength and rise to the call. This is a time to take charge. Don't run away from yourself or your problems. To give up at this time may prove disastrous.

The changing lines between hexagram 29 and hexagram 48

Changing line #3

"The Power of Waiting"- Stay put. Don't act one way or the other. Herein lies your strength.

The future hexagram #48:
"The Well"

The meaning of hexagram #48

An inexhaustible supply of water and sustenance are referenced by this hexagram. This is a time to make good use of all your resources. But if the well seems to have run dry, or the supply cannot be accessed, the solution lies in banding together with others for the good of all. This is a time to group together despite differences. It is time to draw from the well of knowledge. Let life itself sustain you. The wise person knows that despite superficial differences, we are all the same on the inside. Draw your sustenance from the entire kingdom. Good can come from anywhere and everywhere.
