Earth Heaven

The second completed hexagram, #11, can be broken down into a transitioned upper trigram of Earth above a preserved lower trigram of Heaven.

The starting hexagram #43:
"Breaking Through"

The meaning of hexagram #43

Pressure has been building for some time. Now, like water cracking and bursting through a dam, old restraints are being broken. The river overflows the dam. The truthful finally cast aside the untrue. Tension gives way to motion. Powerful action has been a long time coming. The influences of those who are beneath you suddenly mean very little. A cloudburst. The months of April and May may have special significance to this hexagram.

The changing lines between hexagram 43 and hexagram 11

Changing line #4

"Stepping Out of Inner Conflict"- This could be a time of inner restlessness and feeling cut off from your power. Learn from your mistakes. Current problems can be eradicated by letting go of the feeling of stubbornness.

Changing line #5

"Weeding the Garden"- Just as weeds continually rear up again and again, so to do difficult people in your life. This is a time to be resolute in your actions. If you feel it is best to let someone go from your life, do so.

The future hexagram #11:
"Peace"

The meaning of hexagram #11

This powerful hexagram which in its most literal sense means "heaven" supporting the "earth" is an indication of peace and favorable times. This is a sign of prosperity, plenty and success. Heaven and the Earth are in spiritual contact at this time, and a harmony exists between them. Positive energy overwhelms and it is the responsibility of all to use and channel that energy wisely and for good.
