The starting hexagram #57:
The meaning of hexagram #57
Like gentle wind wafting through a village, this hexagram suggests a time of influence and change. This is a time when clarity and truth can pierce through veils of illusion. Through earnestness and a sense of quiet peace, you can penetrate the hearts of those around you and spread goodwill and prosperity. This is a time to speak up and let your voice permeate the land. Communicate your wants and needs to those you love. The key here is to be gentle but continual with the expression of your dreams and wishes. Your will has incredible power to spread at this time. Be heard - but be true to yourself.
The changing lines between hexagram 57 and hexagram 13
Changing line #1
"Persevering through Doubts"- Don't let your doubts stop you from advancing. Persistence will empower you to tear right through doubt and thus progress toward your goal.
Changing line #2
"Kneeling Before an Alter"- This line is suggestive of the power of humility. If you want your ideas to flourish and be received well by others, spread them out as if you are kneeling before the Divine.
Changing line #4
"Hunting Without Regret"- The wise person will combine modesty with energetic action at this time. Go after what you want without losing sleep over past failures.
The future hexagram #13:
The meaning of hexagram #13
A social framework is at issue in this hexagram, which references groups of friends and the ties that bind them. Trust is important here, but also a willingness to put others before oneself. As in all fellowships, there is a pecking order. Some within are higher and some are lower. When this order is threatened, the entire fellowship can be threatened as well. Also referenced here is the concept of those who are inside the fellowship vs. those that are outside.
