The starting hexagram #6 is built from the upper trigram of Heaven positioned above the lower trigram of Water.
The following changed hexagram, #59, is composed of a transitioned upper trigram of Wind positioned above an unchanged lower trigram of Water.
The starting hexagram #6:
"Conflict"
The meaning of hexagram #6
The message of this hexagram is that even those who go through life with good-will and the best intentions will at times meet with hostility and powerful opposition. At this time it is advised that conflict be avoided, for conflict at this time (even if justified) will lead to more serious setbacks. There are times when a "cautious halt" can be far more powerful than the most aggressive response.
The changing lines between hexagram 6 and hexagram 59
Changing line #4
"Turn Back. Submit to Fate"- Conflict at this time may be especially tempting because victory will be seemingly at hand. A change in this line represents a special warning that just because something "can" be won, does not mean that it "should" be. Find peace in perseverance and a change of attitude. Only through avoidance of conflict can you truly succeed.
The future hexagram #59:
"Dispersing"
The meaning of hexagram #59
This powerful hexagram indicates a dispersal of people and ideas. In the same way that wind skims across a watery surface, sending thousands of ripples in its path, this hexagram signifies a time of many small changes. Old partnerships dissolve, friends move or money seems to get away from you for a time. Don't be concerned. The wise person knows that a period of dispersion inevitably gives rise to the return of another cycle of positive growth. This hexagram may also reference friends or family who move away.
