Hexagram #9: Wind over Heaven
NOTE: This is the romantic-themed, Love I Ching version of I Ching Hexagram #9: "Heaven below Wind". Click here for the classic I Ching meaning of hexagram #9.
Hexagram number 9 indicates the force of change in a relationship. On the whole, this is a positive time, but you may be in for an emotional ride as the winds of change pick up speed and change the parameters of your life. Someone special may act in a surprising ways at this time. Rest assured that these winds will eventually calm. This is a reminder to be humble toward outside forces in your relationships. Control what you can, surrender to what you cannot. Change can be both positive and negative. Even if you feel powerless inside, this is only illusion. The wise person knows a weak force is capable of restraining a stronger force. Take small steps. Embrace the natural course of relationships, but do not lose yourself. Even if change is inevitable, there are choices you must still make.
